New scheme for glass cover plate: still worrying about the uncertainty of ceramic ink+physical strengthening


After physical strengthening at a high temperature of 680 ° C, ceramic ink is melted into glass, achieving a strong adhesion and durability of color on the glass. It can withstand years of sunlight and has a certain resistance to atmospheric corrosion. It is a processing method for the glass cover of outdoor display screens.

Ceramic inks, also known as high-temperature inks, need to be processed in conjunction with physical strengthening. There are also relative problems.

Physical strengthening does not work in a dust-free environment, and it is prone to poor quality defects such as spots and foreign objects during processing. For electronic displays with strict appearance quality requirements, the yield rate is not high and the cost is relatively high.

2. Physical strengthening requires glass with a thickness of more than 3mm to be processed (glass is too thin and prone to breakage at high temperatures), and there are requirements for size (products with a thickness of less than 5 inches are not enough to strengthen the gap between furnace rollers, and the glass will fall off).

3. The ceramic ink used for glass is only black and white, and other colors will use low-temperature ink.

In this way, for small, thin glass covers that require multicolor printing, how can they meet the conditions of not falling off and not changing color when exposed to outdoor sunlight.

Here's the good news, and that's enough to find an alternative. That is, UV resistant ink+chemical strengthening. The UV resistant ink we have developed can meet UV irradiance requirements of 1.23W/m2/nm, with a test time of up to 1000 hours, equivalent to a test time of 42 days.


This solution addresses the following requirements for glass covers:

1. There is no limit to the thickness, and it can also be processed with a thickness of less than 3mm.

2. It can process various sizes above 1 inch.

3. Can process various colors, UV resistant ink in addition to black and white, there are other color ink series.

4. UV resistant ink with chemical strengthening, no surface quality issues such as black and foreign matter, and low cost.

For customers of outdoor equipment, such as excavators, outdoor door locks, etc., the use of UV resistant ink+chemical strengthening solutions is recommended, so that the functional tests of the customer's products can be passed at once, allowing the customer's equipment to withstand the sun and rain.
